    🙏🏾 yes this was my first film and remains one of the few records of British Asian identity and music from 1980’s.I had no idea I would become a film maker after it butI discovered the power of cinema and my voice through it.

    Yes. But only a few DJs (*literally 2 of us) used to play both crowds in the 90s, and/or both genres in one set even. Ya'll mashed up EVERY desi genre sometimes in the space of a few minutes the other night. I know for a FACT Rekha would have been shouting YES just like I was ✊🏽

    have watched Jeopardy since the 1980s. So disappointed w/ who they chose to be da host. Even Alex suggested a women of Color. Many of guest hosts were also uninspired. Not sure I can keep watching. End of era. Also stop with the clueless colonial content.
