    I wrote the article links here 11 years ago and it is still amazingly (and perhaps depressingly) relevant.

    This is where I reaffirm my personal preference for projects that are GPL licensed with diverse copyright holder stakes. Copyright aggregation means you are a contributor, not a participant (as summarized ⬇️).
