    Some numbers and visuals from the PoC of sparse high resolution histograms in that Björn, and I worked on a couple of weeks ago: - ~130 buckets (pic below), almost zero config - 95%+ index reduction - 60%+ storage savings - +-1.5% accuracy Exciting!

    The next release will give an option to enable taking snapshots on shutdown of in-memory data, which can potentially reduce the restart time by 50-80% by skipping the WAL replay :) If you want to try it out now, it is already available in the main branch.
