Any time I work in Stripe's Ruby codebase, I'm glad of Sorbet.
Over the last year, we've added type annotations to our much smaller Python codebase.
We also converted a huge JS codebase from Flow to TypeScript.
I'm a big fan of type annotations for large dynamic codebases.

I'm in SF federal courthouse for the continuation of a $6B (!) tax trial over Facebook's 2010 taxes. This was the last trial I covered 2 years ago days before the pandemic closed everything and it's been paused ever since - wild what's happened since then.

Well I found out that I have osteoarthritis in my shoulder. It's not super painful at this point and I'm sure I'll do physical therapy, which will help. But getting old sucks ?
