Thinking of power of ‘framing’ - people who abuse partners frame it as ‘you made me do it because you...’. That frame so often reflected in reporting & discussion of incidents - taps into deep seated cultural models of why violence & abuse happens?

@kirstar19 last week? She's back on TV on Sunday talking *that* interview & what needs to change in how we understand housing. Catch a sneak preview of her excellent interview here

Comparing generations is useful to see how the world has shifted, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse, but intergenerational tension narratives are simple &ignore within generation divides of wealth, income, race. Mary paid a staggering £5730 deposit equivalent to six months' rent to estate agents Advance because she is in receipt of housing benefit. She was then told she would have to pay the same amount in another six months to avoid eviction. Please read:https://inews.co.uk/news/uk/tenant-wins-fight-letting-agency-six-month-deposit-up-front/ …

For all the talk of intergenerational conflict taking hold in our societies, I find it quite heartening that the two most passionate & powerful voices on climate change are a 16 year old (Greta Thunberg) and a 92 year old (David Attenborough)pic.twitter.com/7qsE3St3MM

Ah - DWP still sticking with denying the problem instead of fixing it
Benefit delays alone prompted *a fifth* of @TrussellTrust#foodbank referrals - most others are for benefit changes & benefits simply not being enough. This is not a DWP success.https://twitter.com/GazLemon/status/1121333997592809477 …

Home Office has disclosed to me its legal costs thus far in the
@JCWI_UK case about the discriminatory Right-to-Rent scheme exceed £78,000. & may have to pay JCWI's costs (probably £35,000) too. And they're still appealing further, continuing to waste public funds on this case.Mostrar este hiloGracias. Twitter usará esto para mejorar tu cronología. DeshacerDeshacer -
