    Hey Longhorns, there are multiple ways to get tested for COVID-19 on campus! Become familiar with the two different services UHS offers and where you should get a test based on how you're feeling.

    Individuals should minimize gatherings in small, confined spaces for meals or meetings, and events should be held online or outdoors whenever possible until January 31.

    The best way to prevent getting the virus and spreading it to others is getting vaccinated or boosted. We continue to recommend wearing masks while indoors, regardless of exposure or vaccination status.

    Unit leadership will work with their staff members to determine the level of staffing needed to continue operations and serve the missions of the university through Jan. 30, after which our expectation will be a return to the original plans for the spring semester.

    All students returning to campus for the spring semester should receive a viral test within 72 hours (three days) prior to returning to campus. University employees are also encouraged to test via any method that is most convenient before returning to campus.

    Some may choose to teach in person, while also providing online delivery Jan. 18-28. Students will be notified as soon as possible if any of their courses will be taught with an in-person option. All classes will shift back to the assigned teaching modality on Jan. 31

    Campus will remain open, but we are asking faculty members to teach remotely for the first two weeks of the semester with a target date of Jan. 31 to return to the originally assigned teaching modality.

    Proactive Community Testing is available this week! UT students, faculty and staff who are 100% healthy are invited to view the schedule and book a quick and easy asymptomatic COVID-19 test.

    So sad to hear this .. Tex was an incredible soul who loved his family, Fort Worth, and his Texas Longhorns. You left your mark on this Earth, my friend. You will be missed but never forgotten 🙏🏽🤘🏽
