    Our intern is working on an interactive SSI demo. As a sneak preview he has created s very simple demo. Really handy if you quickly want to receive and prove a credential in any wallet (that supports the BCovrin test network). Check it out:

    Facebook hired a consulting firm to review and respond to Facebook Marketplace complaints. They gave those workers "large unfettered" access to Facebook Messenger inboxes. Contract workers used that access to "spy on romantic partners" because of course they did.

    Seems to be more and more a thing nowadays: Magic sign-in links and sign-in verification emails. Although it may seem nice to remove the need for a password, I now need to wait for a sign in link to appear in my mail box. Imagine if all sites did this…

    This is really not meant to point fingers at anyone, everyone is doing an amazing job to advance the SSI tools and technologies. It's just that I sometimes forget how much there's still to do.

    Point is, It's still really complex to find the right combination of wallets and tools to be able to give a demo, let alone use it out in the wild. Each implementation has its own quirks you need to deal with.

    Even when using an AIP 1.0 compliant agent compliant ledger, the Trinsic Wallet will show an error after sharing a proof because it still doesn't support a presentation acknowledgement.

    So we thought to use the other well-known wallet, from . It works to create a connection and receive a credential offer, but then you run into the issue that it doesn't support the IDUnion Test Network. Fair, you cant blame a wallet for not supporting a test network.

    The first bump on the road is that Lissi is not available in France. This means we can't use the recommended wallet for the demo.

    Wanted to give a demo on SSI to international students. We chose to show the demo, as it is definitely the best demo out there (I know of). Seeing the students struggle still shows how weak interoperability and accessibility is in the Hyperledger Aries ecosystem.
