How do I install Mac version of XC8 compiler?

The MPLAB® XC8 Compiler for Mac machines has the “.dmg” extension. This “.dmg” file is a disk image and can be mounted by double clicking on it.

Inside the disk image is an installer application. Run this application (by double clicking the file),
and then following the instructions on the Installer Dialog.
