  1. The devil is in the details… It’s not a coincidence that the No.1 WR has become an unstoppable force as a pass catcher.

  2. Andy Reid was running the scout team defense (holding up cards w/diagrams and leading the unit) while I was with the from 1995-97. A few years later, he’s the head coach. Great leaders/team builders can come from anywhere on the staff. Just need to look for them.

  3. You know what’s great about this nugget? Reid wasn’t an OC or play-caller before he was hired as a head coach. He was a position coach (TE/QB) for the w/Mike Holmgren calling the plays. Being an OC/play caller is not a prerequisite to being a great HC.. Just sayin’

  4. Interesting to see the bring in a coach who admittedly subscribes to the Tony Dungy/Lovie Smith/Rod Marinelli principles of how to play defense. Perhaps there is a greater appreciation for that in the Windy City now..

TB12 is the Boogeyman 👻 His mere presence (and his glowing resume) nearly made the Rams trick off a game that was in their control. The fear of facing No.12 in a 4th quarter battle had LA shook, and they nearly caved in to the pressure. That’s the biggest compliment ever

Stafford was under pressure to win due to the “Super Bowl or bust” mandate for the Rams, but a QB with 42 game-winning drives (7th-most in NFL history) on his resume is impressive. You don’t stumble into that many late game victories. Just needed playoff success for validation.

It goes back to fundamentals and execution. Can you do the simple things in the game’s biggest moments? Alignment, assignment and adjustment. Plus, tackling, leverage and gap responsibilities. The attention to detail matters more in playoff games.

Yes. They should’ve kicked it deep but Tyreek Hill’s big punt return might’ve spooked the coaches. In an emotional game, the sight of seeing No.10 scoot all over the field might’ve prompted Sean McDermott to opt for the touchback. Tried to play it safe, but it didn’t work out

This is the hidden secret of the NFL. When there is a built-in trust between players and coaches, you’re allowed to freelance based on feel and info. In the secondary, CBs alert Safeties when they’re about to jump routes so everyone is on the same page. Trust & Communication ❤️🏈

This is why we can’t give big grades to QB prospects just because they’re the only ones in the class. You have to grade incoming QBs vs the guys they will ultimately play. Otherwise, you will select QBs early who have NO CHANCE of winning big games. The A+ standard should be high

It takes a village to nurture a young QB. Strong organizational structure with good coaches and a solid scheme. Plus, a collection of playmakers who make the game easier for him. Bills and Chiefs put on a Master Class in QB development

After an epic Sunday of football, here are a few thoughts and observations..

The defenders were gassed. It is too hard to play that much man to man without a break. It has been a track meet for the last 20 minutes and one defense was bound to collapse at the end of the game.

How many general managers and coaches have QB envy after watching this game??

KC should've called a timeout. They played 2-man with improper leverage. The miscommunications in the secondary killed them. Great throw and catch. The legend of Josh Allen grows after this comeback. Wow!

Build your team around the prototypes. Big, fast, and explosive. The playoffs have shown us that you need blue-chip talents to win at the highest level. We can make jokes about scouts obsessing over the measurables, but you see the difference in crunch time.

Michael Hughes fell down defending a "Dino" route (post-corner-post) while playing the deep 1/3 in Cover 3. It was a great route but the play call left the CB on an island with pressure coming after the QB. Helluva throw! Wow! Just Wow!

If you didn’t believe special teams mattered, your opinion should change after this weekend. The third phase matters and you better put your best players on the kicking units if you want to gain an edge. Special teams are not the place for you to hide the youngsters or scrubs
