Hi & welcome to Scapy's github ! This page lists issues that you can try to fix if you want to start contributing to Scapy.

I was working on a project where the logic was something like:

if (is_num(val))
  mycountval = to_count(val);

When an empty string slips in for val, is_num is T and it threw a bug in the code I was working on. The documentation is technically true:

Improve BruteShark performance by refactor the BLL layer (aka PcapAnalyzer project to use multi thread mechanism).
That includes:

• Design the solution and discuss about it with me.
• Implement it.
• Writing tests that will test exactly this mechanism.

• Creating issue to accelerate/track test frame building of each module
• The test folder has a very basic example to start with.
• Feel free to make a pull request for the test cases

I'm trying a simple test with tcpliveplay but it seems tcpliveplay doesn't handle TCP handshake properly.
