    How cool are our customers? In South Korea, small-scale farmers are using ML to analyze the health of a staple crop—perilla leaf—and automatically adjusting growing conditions. More delicious perilla, less effort. Amazing stuff.

    Contrary to false reports, there was no broad service issue this week. Downdetector is now saying “we do not believe there was a widespread service issue on AWS’s platform.” I recommend the AWS Dashboards (PHD then SHD) as the most reliable sources of AWS info.
