This message is to clarify and make transparent the current situation of Public APIs, in addition to demonstrating the frustration of us maintainers. So read this if you find it interesting, please.

There are a few "magic numbers" in the code, such as in https://github.com/RocketChat/Rocket.Chat/blob/a1c41a16c550968761dd0be84673318e7bc63b10/app/lib/server/functions/saveUser.js#L231

In this example, is there a reason why 260 has not been replaced by something like settings.get('Accounts_MaxBioLength')? (With the corresponding setting added to app/lib/server/startup/settings.ts).

As discussed on CZO, there are currently several ways to mute a topic. We should remove this redundant option from the message three-dot menu.

Reasons to do so:

• It's a topic action, not a message action.
• There are lots of other, more natural ways to do it.
• The message three-dot menu is g

As the subject says, since right now it's pretty much impossible to find out the id of an add-on without downloading it, or changing log levels and then interacting with it in some specific way other than looking at its info on the UI.

(Perhaps hide them behind debug mode?)
