This week's Insiders' email is out - including the slides and links from my Firecracker deep dive on Friday. I also explore how technology becomes product giving examples, and asking "what's next"? Check your email, or grab this edition in the portal: insiders.alexellis.io

I don’t know anyone who has gotten away with this full time, has written about his experience in self publishing which I think is the only way to do this based on how much % publishers will take away

The first example was an adaptation of arkade and took a bit longer. The second one for hey took a few minutes. Feel free to fork and adapt as necessary for things you need.

GitHub Actions makes it trivial to build and publish release binaries things you need - especially where they do not yet exist upstream (for whatever reason) Here's two examples - one for hey, and one for a part of firecracker github.com/alexellis/tc-t

I did it, And i can accept it publicly. I tried writing controllers where we don't even need a k8s controller, It's like adding complexity in our stack. Thanks to few mentors who correct me again and again, And now i want to write controller without k8s 😂

This can be so bad, that even when K8s isn't the right technology for a solution, they'll demand it anyway. On the other side, where a single-node K3s cluster simplifies operating something immensely, K8s-agnostics will not even consider it. What have we done? 🙃

Here's the first arkade system package, which installs . As we get more apps submitted - I imagine a kind of SDK / fluent API might be extracted. github.com/alexellis/arka
