somedays you are carrying no amount of light to share with others, you don't have a lot to say and you don't have enough energy to connect with anyone. you are simply existing in your own zone, surviving everything quietly. I hope you feel understood and loved on those days too.

'It would be criminal to leave Italy without eating Tiramasu' Well, I wouldn't want to be an outlaw now would I?

Absolutely shattered after high octane back to back talks on challenging intellectual disability stigma & Islamophobia & Muslim mental health But this lounge area of the hotel in Assisi, Italy where our hosts have kindly accommodated us is the perfect place to chill & unwind 😴

Footage of yours truly gallivanting in Assisi, Italy! Trigger warning: I was very 'energised' This was taken after my talk about stigma at a conference, a topic I am deeply passionate about. I was also supercharged on espressos! Padua, Italy is absolutely captivating...

Oh wow! As you can tell in a pic, I delivered my talk on innovative interventions to reduce Intellectual Disability Stigma with 'gusto'! But the audience in Assisi, Italy embraced the energy & we all pledged to collectively challenge stigma whenever & wherever we see it.

I'll not take any more pics of Assisi, Italy. I'll go straight to my hotel to work on my presentation. I'll not take any more pics. I'll go straight to my hotel to work on my presentation. I'll not take any more pics. I'll go straight to my hotel to work on my presentation... 😳

These pictures are bringing me so much peace and memories when I used to visit Italy. The streets also reminds me of the old towns in the Andes.

It must be such an honour when your work proceeds you Dr Ahmed. What amazes me most is your humility for a doctor so knowledgeable and skilled in your field of expertise. You really do care about the well-being of people suffering with mental health issues. You are so amazing 👏

I'm excited to be in Assisi, Italy But I thought about how many with mental health conditions & disabilities don't have the resources to experience the joy that I am experiencing Please can we at least spare a moment to think what life is like for those who are less fortunate

My heart ❤ Just when I thought our hosts in Assisi, Italy couldn't be more generous They gave us this gift to remember them by A painting from a child of Assisi symbolising the care they have for us & us for them 😍
