    🐻 Manage your attractants. 🐻 Avoid hiking alone. 🐻 Keep pets leashed or under control when in bear country. 🐻 Use extra caution in bear habitat. 🐻 If you find a carcass leave the area. 🐻 Take training. 🐻 Carry bear spray & be able to access it quickly. 2/4

    NO ONE EVER expects to get into trouble outdoors. But a mistake in judgment can quickly change any recreational outing into a crisis. Thx for bringing the hikers home to safety & for sharing safety tips & outdoor education resources with them.

    The hikers didn’t have 🔦, 🗺, 🧭, whistle or other safety equip. They were trying to return when they took a wrong turn. “We have to be more prepared next time, for ie; wear a headlamp, wear proper shoes, bring a lot of food and water,” said.

    Thinking of the lost hiker as this search continues. + additional groups resume searching today, Aug 29.

    Coquitlam SAR and other local SAR groups will be resuming the search for Ali Naderi on Saturday, August 29th. We will be staging at Eagle Mountain Park. Please keep the area clear for helicopters, ATV's and SAR vehicles to operate safely.
