Expected behavior

Some progress or update information during the creation of the SIF file.

Actual behavior

During "Creating SIF file..." step, the console does not produce any visible output for the user - but does create the resulting file eventually.

We should have a test script to ensure that FDs and Go routines are cleaned up as expected after a heavy workload.

In a use case of inserting primarily binary or already compressed objects, having a flag to just disable compression seems feasible.
This would leave the mediaType as just application/vnd.oci.image.layer.v1.tar
