It appears Elon Musk had this Twitter Spaces discussion about his censoring of journalists shut down. It didn't just end. The metadata and all the information about it was wiped. There were upwards of 40,000 people in this conversation which was highly critical of him.

Serious question: If I'm at a legislative hearing and I notice someone prominent is there to testify, am I violating Twitter rules by tweeting out their location (the state capitol)? What about sports teams tweeting out photos of celebrities attending their games?

And, of course, journalists should not be punished for merely reporting what happened and including that the person tracking the flights has begun doing so on another platform.

We've all been able to legally track flights in real time for free for more than 17 years. It only became a matter of life and death (and "assassination coordinates") when a billionaire bought an app where someone was doing it to him.

Coach Leach has passed away. Again, thinking about and praying for the wide swath of people he impacted, those whom he was thankful for. #RIPMikeLeach

With Mike Leach in a Jackson hospital, I'm reminded of his comments in our Thankful Mississippi story. The coach said he was thankful for his family, and players, coaches and staff, both past and present. Thinking of all of those close to him right now. clarionledger.com/story/news/202

“I hope he makes it through,” a caller identified as Darrell from Columbus, Georgia, said. “If he doesn’t, there will never, ever, ever be another Mike Leach. He (is) absolutely legendary. The day Mississippi State hired him, I knew they had a winner.”

If one thing has been made clear, it's that Mike Leach means a lot to college football and beyond. Nick Saban said it well: "Mike's infectious personality and passion for the game have impacted the sport in so many positive ways during his career."

Took my grandfather to the #Pelicans game yesterday. He bought a 12-game plan in 2011. Stopped when I went to college in 2018. We only saw two playoff teams in that stretch. The team averaged 34 wins per season. Now we got to see them win to stay in first place. Special moment.

We're still waiting on a decision from U.S. District Court Judge Henry Wingate on whether the execution of Thomas "Eddie" Loden will go forward in one week. Wingate said Monday that he'd issue a ruling yesterday, but he did not.

We're still waiting on an announcement from federal court on whether Thomas "Eddie" Loden will be executed next week. His attorneys claim it should wait until after an ongoing civil suit about the method is resolved. The judge announced yesterday that a decision would come today.
MS State Auditor Shad White has released the annual Single Audit report, which looks at how the state spent federal dollars. It found hundreds of millions of dollars of misused COVID-19 stimulus funds, a trend says is not unique to Mississippi.
