This is so important. Engine diversity in iOS devices must be allowed to give end users choice and foster competition.

Remember, Apple also won't allow other browsers to bring better UI for this either, because they self-preference regarding web app installation.
Only Safari is allowed, and it's nowhere near up to scratch.

Thanks to all web developers who took the time & trouble to reply to CMA's consultations. Big Tech firms have whole departments who leap into action if regulators start sniffing, and the money to set up pseudo-associations to lobby on their behalf. We didn't; you had our backs.

It's happening! Some years ago, when I joined , I tried their phones for the first time (S6). I had found my post new fav mobile brand. 's appalling tech support has made look into greener pastures and I'm awaiting now for a Pixel7.
