I think it's possible that Elon is not the absolutely horrible leader that all the leaked news stories make him out to be. But if other leaders are seeing that depiction – false as it may be – and saying "yeah, let's do that!" then we've still got a major problem.

Interesting twist in this year's GA runoff election: overseas voters were sent a ranked-choice ballot for the general election, so they don't have to vote again. As a consequence, a couple thousand runoff ballots have already been cast.

Sometimes leaders need to make hard decisions that affect the people they employ. Sometimes "leaders" make ruthless decisions without care for people because it makes them feel like they're in control. There's a big difference. And people remember.
