1/ The team has been working around the clock for the last week to support the State of Georgia in running their first state-wide risk-limiting audit, which turned into a full hand-count.

We just wrapped up our work supporting Georgia with their post-election audit. Because of the tight margin, this audit turned into the largest hand-count in US history. voting.works/news/2020/11/g

I think we're going to lose Twitter, and I don't think we're going to see anything like it, as flawed as it always was, for a long time.

I have a number of significant disagreements with 's take, but I deeply respect for taking ownership of decisions and mistakes. I wish we saw a whole lot more of that from all leaders.

There's a lot of conversation around the #TwitterFiles. Here's my take, and thoughts on how to fix the issues identified. I'II start with the principles I've come to believe based on everything l've learned and experienced through my past actions as a Twitter co-founder and lead:

The absolute selflessness of this... Whew. I feel for the Whelan family, and I'm so excited for Griner's release.

NEW from the Whelan family: "There is no greater success than for a wrongful detainee to be freed & for them to go home. The Biden Admin made the right decision to bring Ms. Griner home, & to make the deal that was possible, rather than waiting for one that wasn't going to..”

Happy election day Georgia! Thank you to all the poll workers and election administrators doing the hard work of democracy.

Y'all, if you wanna see humans being good humans, scroll the replies to this tweet. Especially the ones from established authors

Only 2 people came to my author signing yesterday, so I was pretty bummed about it. Especially as 37 people responded "going" to the event. Kind of upset, honestly, and a little embarrassed.

2 years ago today I said it has all gone too far. It had then and we are still seeing ramifications from the irresponsible behavior of those in positions of power who should care more about the country than themselves. True then, true now.

I think it's possible that Elon is not the absolutely horrible leader that all the leaked news stories make him out to be. But if other leaders are seeing that depiction – false as it may be – and saying "yeah, let's do that!" then we've still got a major problem.

That French online voting system I tweeted about? There's now a thorough security analysis: hal.inria.fr/hal-03875463 Two points of praise: - researchers are calling out issues w/o claiming the sky is falling - vendor & election admins participated in responsible disclosure.

The far more interesting data point is countries where belief in heaven is much more prevalent than belief in hell. That's the kind of optimism I'm here for.

Strong start, did the first half of my 2k row at a flat 2:00 split, then lost a bit of steam, finished 2k at my new record... 8:02 !! Was not expecting to have 8:00 within my sights before end of calendar year.

Interesting twist in this year's GA runoff election: overseas voters were sent a ranked-choice ballot for the general election, so they don't have to vote again. As a consequence, a couple thousand runoff ballots have already been cast.

Sometimes leaders need to make hard decisions that affect the people they employ. Sometimes "leaders" make ruthless decisions without care for people because it makes them feel like they're in control. There's a big difference. And people remember.

👏 👏 👏 Georgia successfully completed their risk-limiting audit in 2 days, providing strong evidence that ballots were counted correctly.
Quote Tweet
All counties in Georgia have completed the hand count of batches for the statewide Risk Limiting Audit (RLA). 5% risk limit has been met, verifying that @GaSecofState Raffensperger is the winner. Thanks to the counties & @voting_works for their dedication & hard work. #gapol
