The GitHub@UtrechtUniversity is open to all researchers, teachers, and employees of Utrecht University. You can get access with your Utrecht University SolisID. Step-by-step instructions can be found in the Getting Started with GitHub@UtrechtUniversity guide.
Do you have no experience with Git and GitHub? There are lots of resources on the internet to learn working with Git and GitHub. Do you prefer a workshop? The workshop Best Practices for Writing Reproducible Code of the Research Data Management Support office is a great starting point.

Students are not eligible to become member of github.com/UtrechtUniversity, but can be invited as 'outside collaborators' to repositories to be able to collaborate in research projects.

Every year, researchers at Utrecht University publish thousands of scientific results via various outlets.
