Background
The upcoming Organizations features aims represent a tenant or company in Gitpod. Organizations aim to help with past confusion around the notion of teams and set a foundation for future product steps like Dedicated.
What changes for teams, users, and workspaces?
Team owners become organization admins.
Organization admins can additionally manage SSO identity providers and SCM git providers.
Workspaces will be grouped under each organization.
Projects continue to live under an organization.
There will be no more personal usage or billing. All usage and billing will go through organizations.
