For a community to be whole and healthy, it must be based on people's love and concern for each other.

The one thing that matters is the effort. ~~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Writing and research should speak for itself. Learn to trust your own sense of judgment when you read and interact with authors and editors on wikiHow. Many of the contributors you see around wikiHow and whose work you read care a great deal about donating time, effort and talent to wikiHow. I cannot speak for others but I know I feel that this is a productive means for me to disseminate my knowledge and skills via a free medium that can reach millions of people whilst at the same time belonging to a tight-knit and like-minded community.

Repository of human knowledge. I see great potential in wikiHow to become the key online resource capable of preserving and promoting generations of human knowledge from all cultures. It will include both expertise from recognised professionals in the field and expertise from you and me, people who have tried things out every day of our lives and worked out what works best and wish to share this helpful how-to knowledge with the rest of the world.

  • Go find some of your own wisdom and relate it back to life on wikiHow. Keep in mind that a hobby can be treated with serious intent without taking things too seriously and definitely without taking people down when they don't seem to conform with your ideals. Leadership through thorny issues is difficult but a good leader will balance both sides of a story and find a way for most to meet in the middle.
