How to Use Discussion Pages on wikiHow
originated by:Andy Zhang, Chris Hadley, Jack Herrick, Bassposaunist (see all)
Every wikiHow article has its own Discussion page, where you can leave a comment. This provides a forum to discuss improvements and other aspects. Just follow these instructions:
edit Steps
- 1Click on the Discussion tab at the top of an article.
- 2Read any previous posts.
- 3Scroll to the bottom of the page to leave a comment.
- You are encouraged to edit an article, rather than leave a comment.
- Agree, disagree or enter a new concept.
- Comment on its accuracy and usefulness.
- Be sure it follows our Writer's Guide and Deletion policy.
- Support may be needed for merging, deletion or Featured Article status.
- Be civil. Leave kind and respectful comments, even if you strongly disagree.
- Be specific and constructive, rather than critical.
- Keep in mind that every post is patrolled and read by the general public.
- Use wiki syntax, templates or images within your message.
- 4Click on Post to post your comment.
edit Tips
- Ignore insulting or offensive comments.
- Use IRC or the Forums for other interactive discussions.
- For your own safety, do not reveal personal information, such as your real name, age, birthday, home address, Email address, city of residence, phone number, social security number, credit card information, etc.
