To create moving cars and buildings, you need to know how to use the joints toolbar in SketchyPhysics. This article will try to show you how to use it in an easy to understand way.

- 1To learn how to use the various joints, create a few shapes to practice with. Be sure that you have the required floor to work on.
- 2Have a rectangular shape to use the hinge on. This will be easier to see the movement with, than a sphere would be.
- 3Click on the Hinge icon. Put it where you want it to be on the box.
- 4Pull away from it in the direction of the axis you want it aligned with.
- In this instance, the blue axis. You will see a duplicate of the icon on your shape. Its actual size will vary depending on the scale of your shape.
- 5Click on the Joint Connector.
- 6Click on the hinge.
- 7Press and hold CTRL.
- 8Click on the box.
- 9To use, click on the Play/Pause button and give it a push. You will see your hinge in action.
- If it doesn't work, you may have placed your hinge on the wrong axis.
