Sometimes, you just need a visual pick me up, sometimes, the muse strikes you, sometimes, it just 'happens'. Regardless, creating something beautiful touches a spot in most of us, and is even a part of the psyche in others. Read this wiki to learn some ways to do this.
Edit Steps
- 1Use what is 'lying around'. Junk art[1] is more common than you might think and proves that one man's trash is another man's treasure.
- For ideas, use your favorite search engine and search for junk art projects or junk art ideas, etc.
- 2Use your computer (no, not the actual computer, its software!).
- Graphic software of all types can assist you with this. Some are free, some have quite the price tag.
- Check out scrap booking software to make pages to share with family and friends.
- 3Take advantage of the season. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and a host of other seasons provide the opportunity and appreciation for this type of display.
- 4Plant small spring bulbs. Crocus blends in well with grass and is one of the first flowers to blossom in the spring. You can go further and plant them surreptitiously in your neighborhood park or along a favorite walking path. They are fairly hardy and need no weeding or fertilizer when established.
- 5Plant a garden. Many perennials and shrubs are available. Talk to your local greenhouse or nursery about what plants will do best in your area. Not only are you beautifying the area, you are also providing yet another carbon dioxide recycling area on planet earth.
- 6Look around. Sometimes, the beauty needs some encouragement/enhancement to be seen by others. Maybe that is your calling; to see what others don't and add to it.
- 7Pick up litter whenever possible. This may also inspire others to do likewise, and the cleaner an area is, the less likely others will litter.
Edit Tips
- Just because no one has done it before doesn't mean it can't be done. Maybe nobody has thought of it.
