Wikis are perpetually incomplete and forever in need of improvement. In fact, that's the point of wikiHow--to promote a collaborative learning and teaching environment. Because that is wikiHow's goal, there are quite a few ways to find wikiHow pages that need editing.

    Understand that wikis require collaboration.
    • Post content with the understanding that it will be expanded, modified and rewritten.
    • Retain pertinent information from a previous version.
    • Remove extraneous or redundant concepts.

    Select articles in a variety of ways:
    • Review Pages Needing Attention. Make suggested improvements to various articles.
    • Click on Suggested Topics in the column to the right of any page. Search for duplicates first, because many articles have already been written.
    • Click on Random Article at the upper right of any page. Edit where needed.
    • Browse articles. Select topics of interest or topics you wish to research. Select a link within an article or a Related wikiHow at the bottom of an article.

    Evaluate each article.
    • Is the information correct? Does it need clarification?
    • Does it use logic and common sense? Would it be helpful to a beginner?
    • Test an article to add a more detailed description or additional steps.

    Click in the space provided to indicate a minor edit.
    • Correct minor spelling, punctuation or grammatical errors.
