A request for comments has been opened on whether a c: interwiki prefix should be added for Wikimedia Commons. The RfC follows a 2011 RfC on the same topic which, while positive, did not see wide participation.

	23:	A new proposal is started to launch WikiGames as a Wikimedia project.
	17:	Round 1 of the Eighth Annual Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year Competition (to select the best featured picture of 2013) starts. Round 2 will start immediately after Round 1 has finished and votes are counted.
	15:	The candidate submission phase of the 2014 Steward elections has started.
