How to Develop Immunity
The immune system within the body is amazing. It protects us from the thousands of bacteria we come in contact with every hour. Unfortunately it doesn't always have the means to protect us.
Many people have an allergy to various plants, insect bites, animals, pests, and so forth.
Bacteria and viruses develop and reproduce rapidly, changing and evolving to become more deadly in the process whilst foiling our immune system.
Meanwhile both natural and man-made poisons can harm the body easily.
Also a threat are the ever more common food allergies. A single bite of food that you're allergic to can be all it takes to send you to the hospital.
Steps
-
1Identify allergies. If you know what you are allergic to and how badly your body will react to allergies, you can avoid the dangers / discomforts.Ad
-
2Plan. It is possible to develop a treatment plan to expose oneself to small but gradually increasing amounts of any foods or toxins that they may be allergic to.
-
3Exposure type 1. Expose oneself to very small amounts of the allergen / toxin, gradually increasing the dose. Exposing oneself to a substance that harms the body in any way is always dangerous, but over time the body can and often will develop defenses against poisons and allergens. This can be done to build immunity to plants, animals, poisons.
-
4Exposure type 2. In the case of virus such as the common cold, immunity is gained through infection. After having been exposed/infected with a strain of virus, (through either being sick with the original or a vaccination), the body will develop enzymes which white blood cells will use to destroy any future infections of the same virus strain. (Strain refers to the DNA strain of that virus which make each generation gradually better at infecting other people and causing sickness.)
-
5Continue exposure type 1. Continuing to expose oneself to things that one is allergic to and toxins in small but increasing doses can allow the body to build up a proper defense. Examples include exposure to UV radiation from the sun. Over time individuals with light skin will tan when exposed to sunlight. Alcoholic substances are also toxic, and often require gradual consumption to build up a tolerance.
-
6Don't prolong exposure type 2. Try to avoid exposure to bacteria that can make you sick. If you are sick too often, your immunity will weaken and you can die. Medicine may help fight off infections and colds, however medicines are foreign to the body and in large doses will act as poisons, possibly killing you.Ad
