  • 1 baked cake (box mix), any flavor
  • 1/2 cup liqueur – if you prefer not to use liqueur, use heavy cream or half and half or frosting
  • 1 bag of chocolate chips

    Make the box cake according to the package instructions. Let cool before proceeding.

    Using a food processor, crumble the baked cake. Alternatively crumble by hand.

    Place the cake crumbs in a large bowl. Drizzle with liqueur (or cream or frosting if using instead).

    Gently toss or combine the cake and liqueur (or cream/frosting).

    Using a 1/4 cup measure, scoop the cake mixture. Do not pack into the measuring cup.

    Gently pat the measured cake mixture into a ball. Do not roll.

    Place the ball on a cookie sheet covered in wax paper.

    Freeze the cake balls for at least 30 minutes.

    Serve in paper muffin cups.
