Detects incorrectly The app detects riding on a bus as riding a bicycle. Even when I am sitting here interacting with the app itself trying to deactivate the bicycle reading it is gradually increasing. There is no option to disable it as an activity I would do, only to hide it or to remove it from my favorite activities. This really needs to be fixed.

Basic bug with MI. Please fix it GFit calculates its own steps and when synced with MI band, it adds the numbers!!It should update rather than adding and showing absurdly high numbers.

Location specific I do a lot of walking indoors on a treadmill due to the cold weather and snow outside during the winter months. No matter what setting I put, it only seems to record when I move location...which is not helpful when you're in one position! Otherwise, it seemed pretty accurate.

Didn't move it said I took over 30 steps! I hadn't moved at all and it said that I had taken over 30 steps. Not accurate at all. Also, add an auto add activity feature for if you do an activity weekly.

Am i missing something After each run I can see the map which shows the route that I just ran but when going back to the Google fitness homepage why can I not visualise and compare the routes of all of my previous runs? What is going on? Surely that's a key aspect

It automatically recognizes my activities, so I'll give it two stars for that. But it is absolutely atrocious at estimating distance and path traveled - even with High Accuracy mode enabled. It underestimates cycling distance by over 50%!!! I hope this is fixed soon since My Tracks is being retired. Using Samsung S6 Edge.

Not good It dosent record while biking and map shows only one place. No route is dsplyed. Dist is also not showing it only shows. Time when it started rest just on claims .. Sorry

Broke my leg 4 months ago so I really like being able to keep a record of my activity and how its improving. Would give 5 stars if I was able to see my activity in km/hr instead of minutes/km.

The app is awesome. The scope of improvement is for different activities other than jogging etc. One could place the camera at a fixed position and take a video of their exercise clearly. Next step which is indeed clever is: when Google fit's algorithms calculate the number of reps, jumps, skips etc the person has done. Wouldn't it be cool?😍

Battery death It kills my smart watch 3 ... 45% to 6% battery in 1 hr... With out it the watch is fine... It also makes my Z3 C warm... Turn it off, all cools down... Please sort it out...

Need auto tracking and sleep tracking Should be built in instead of depending on third party app. Fitbit and Misfit both had it for a long time. Hope that feature comes for my higher rating.

Absolute rubbish I used to use My Tracks to log my walks. Trying to find a replacement since Google decided to deprecate it. This isn't a replacement. It has the functionality but chewed through a fully charged Galaxy S6 battery in just over 4 hours making it utterly useless.

What happened??!?! I used to love this app and everything about it but lately it keeps saying that I'm running when I'm not and I woke up to see it said I ran for 10 hours and it's just super buggy now. I tried reinstalling it but it didn't work. Besides for this the app was pretty awesome but this kinda ruined it for me

Updated Update : seems to be working well again. Just updated today Jan 9th 2016 will test to be sure. I don't know what happened but today I was at 5698 steps and I looked at the app and it now shows 1549 steps. Yesterday I was at 16,000 steps and then it ended at 11,685. This application is clearly broken and needs to be fixed. I'm running the latest Android version on a Nexus 5. I noticed this issue in the past however on just a couple of occasions. Google needs to address this issue! Worthless now!

So Broken! Insane how broken this app is. Today's summary: 12 min of strength training. I manually logged a 37 min workout at the gym with this app. Where'd it go? WTF!? This hurts my brain. I edited a 19 "bike" activity to "other" since I wasn't biking... Poof! GPS, altitude, heart rate.. all gone. No record of it now.

Missing basic features make it unusable Can't delete an activity? Seriously? I just entered a 5 mile run and it tells me I burned 91 calories. Wrong. This might work for people willing to let the app dictate how you track your fitness.

Not a suitable replacement for Google my tracks This is supposed to replace mytracks but it lacks functionality and seems to focus only on material design. This is a trend from Google to get rid of functionality in favor of the supposedly aesthetically pleasing material design

Used to be great I used to love this app, but now it misses things like 4-mile bike rides. It also seems to be erasing activity...I will check that my morning bike commute was counted when I get to work, but by night it will have mysteriously disappeared.

I used to be a big fan of the app till the recent update. After the update, my walking is detected as biking and it does not detect steps nor does it calculate any distance. The high accuracy mode sucks! Really inaccurate detection of distance with Location turned ON. The UI gets garbled and the animation goes on spinning incessantly.

Neat but inaccurate Keeps saying I cycled but haven't been on my bike and I can't remove the activity to correct my daily activity. So glad Google is spending time on apps like this and killing My Tracks for no good reason....

It's a nice idea for an app but forgets data all the time. Edit: I've had enough. It keeps making up new weights for me that I haven;t entered. It won;t remember the weights I manually add. I can't download teh historical weight data to move to another app. The app is buggy as all hell.

Good but issues with elevation Despite the fact that i live in Copenhagen, making my trips pretty flat, I keep getting some bike runs where I records elevation differences of about 20 to 30 m along the run. Could you explain?

Meh-Blegh Won't let me manually add activities and doesn't properly calculate when I do exercise. I hiked 1 hour 30 mins and it claimed I went 28 minutes... Also, I wish it had the ability to delete activities because it always tells me I'm cycling when I only walk fast, as I am 6'1" and my strides are long. Not reliable, so I will be on the lookout for a new app that works well!

Inaccurate According to this app, I sometimes burn fewer calories than my BMR. The calories burned sometimes jumps up and down while I'm looking at it. Apparently when I walk to work I get tired and teleport the rest of the way. The app needs some attention.

looks great but you need to restart after update .. Great my phone is off but I recently had it fix that by Samsung I downloaded it and ran around the mall I thought I had everything set up and started activity Unfortunately they recorded everything set for the distance between a point and running around the mall so I guess if you have an old phone you need to restart after an update or installation of fit and make sure GPS is already on and it is allowed to use it beforeanyway I got the number of steps and calories just didn't get distance tks G pretty cool

Google Fit distances are inaccurate and battery usage is high. I switched to Google Fit after using Google My Tracks for several years since Google is dropping My Tracks next month. The milage I am seeing on my activities (primary walking and golf) are significantly higher than I was seeing with My Tracks on the same phone (Samsung Galaxy 5) and as confirmed by my Garmin GPS golf watch odometer. I hope Google gets this fixed or extends support for My Tracks.

Can't figure this out No dark theme. It says I've exercised for an hour when I haven't done anything (I did not tell the app I was exercising). Previous runs and bike rides imported from Tracks are poorly laid out, I can't see the info I want. Basically I just want to keep using My Tracks, because I was happy with it, and this is a downgrade

Meh The step count doesn't match my SHealth app and they use the same built in pedometer. The step to miles walked conversion is horrible. Says that 6,500 steps equals 0.5 mile when it should be over 3 miles. 1 step=1 yard typically and 1,760 yards in 1 mile. Very surprised a Google app didn't calculate correctly.

Performance kind of all over the place. Since I got a Wear watch it no longer counts distance accurately - often marks my bike rides down as 0km, which is a little pointless since it WAS the only app that tracked bike rides at all. Have also been greatly enjoying the Fitness Challenges, but progress doesn't seem to be synced to the cloud. I had to factory reset my watch and found that my 16 days of situps, pushups and squats had disappeared - the exercise itself was still logged, but my progress in the 30-day challenge was nowhere to be found, and I had to start over from the beginning.

The app is good now! But Map My Fitness workouts are missing! Good now! Excellent recording of Sleep As Android data. Thanks! But Map My Fitness workouts aren't showing AT ALL now. For over a month. Not fixed yet. Beyond this major flaw, the only thing it needs is a social network with interactive challenges. And photos! Please let us post photos! How about getting that going? And fix Map My Fitness sync. PLEASE!!!!!!!! Then it would be ideal. Thank you.

Works well too much of the time The app does a great job of accurately tracking my steps and stuff while I'm walking. A big issue, though, is that it also thinks I'm walking while I'm driving; thus, it shows me walking thousands of steps down the freeway at 60mph (:56/mi). ¿que? Anyway, would be nice if it could sense if I'm driving or not and stuff.
