    An investigation into offshore business filings found Wilbur Ross has financial ties to 36 previously undisclosed ships that are spread among at least nine companies.

    23) Ross owns ships that are much smaller than the massive ships the ports are hoping to attract. If the ports are deepened, Ross’ ships could lose business. For example, Navigator billed itself as owning boats that are small enough for the ports.

    10) We searched filings in Luxembourg and were more successful. The filings linked ships to Ross and told us the fund was buying and selling ships after he started in February.
