    Part of programming is supposed to be understanding side effects, but programmers are horrifically bad at guessing and preventing bad faith uses of tech. This example is horrifying.

    ok, I’m done with this. I’m sure Twitter could invent a hashtag and share thousands of incredibly important investigative reports in 2017...and we would still not be done when the ball falls at midnight. Thanks for flagging this.
