A lot of people have been asking whether the vote at 2.30pm today is or . It is not.

    Is today 'Meaningful Vote 3'?

In short, no.

All votes in the Commons have meaning, but 'meaningful vote' has come to refer to a vote under Section 13 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act on both the Withdrawal Agreement and Political Declaration negotiated with the EU.

Today's vote will only be on the Withdrawal Agreement, so it is not 'Meaningful Vote 3'.
