    there are so many simple ways we can convey to people everywhere that they matter. is not ever having to ponder bandaids in this way.

    This felt like belonging. Like feeling valued. Sadness for my younger self and millions of kids of color, esp black kids. Like a reminder of countless spaces where my skin is still not welcomed. Feared. Hated. Like, "Why am I really thinking all this 'bout an effing band-aid?"

    really strong thread about gender (and more broadly URM) discrediting. i’m tired of wearing my resume pinned to my chest.

    But the lesson is clear... As a woman, if you so much as celebrate a win, you better have your ducks in order. All of them. Because you _will_ be challenged by some random dude on the internet that thinks you owe him your CV and detailed description of your credentials.
