    I don' know of anyone working on this, does anyone?

    At the end of your panel at Bloomberg you mentioned incorporating externalities into the cost of capital. Do you know of any organisations that are working on this?

    One of the more surprising events in which to find myself a speaker ... and pretty stunned and impressed by the entire set of participants.

    Great start to the Common Good in the Digital Age conf at the Vatican: Bishop Paul Tighe, Msgr. Duffe, , Anna Abram and Reid Hoffman on tech & shared values. Discussion included references to Levinas and Spinoza (really!) as well as tech in the public interest 1/2

    Just so you know then, there is at least one large US national laboratory that has the documented policy that unless they have a good reason, research software should be released under the MPL2 by default. (I wrote the policy) 😉

    Yes, indeed! The mozilla public license serves a set of the market well, tho as a middle ground it's not as known as the apache or gpl places on the spectrum. Thank you for "holding the pen" and drafting the 2.0 version of the MPL.

    I admit I still get a small, real smile every time I see MPL pop up in the wild. CC

    Waiting until college level courses may be too late. Embedding ethics and societal impacts of technology needs to be in the high school curriculum, too.
