    My favorite part of The Syllabus is choosing eccentric academic papers - this week they are on heavy metal as existentialism, pastafarianism, viking tatoos on Instragam, and the absence of ecology of Game of Thrones - that go into our Odds & Ends section

    One of the most exciting aspects of working on The Syllabus is the sheer breadth of topics that we cover. Here is, for example, our recent edition on political economy - one can get lost in it for hours, reading up on neoliberalism and what not
