    Just as an FYI, Bernie's people planned for this and developed their own app for logging results. Assuming the precinct captains are inputting information, Bernie's camp should have accurate numbers even if no one else does.

    There are now reports that the app that caucus leaders are using to report Iowa results isn't working. Nobody knows who owns the app and there were major security concerns:

    Anyway, remembering 3K and 14M isn't too bad. They're even better if the heximal world standardized on a 6-bit or 12-bit byte (both of which were attested in our world before 8-bit won), as those are 10₆ and 20₆ bits in hex!

    Just realized that, duh, 2^20₆ squared is 2^40₆; similarly, 3,0000₆ (three thousand₆) squared is 13,0000,0000₆ (nine million₆). Since 3k undershot the power slightly, going up one unit to ten million₆ just happens to hit the bullseye.

    Best candidates so far: • 3,0000₆ is 5.3% from 2^20₆ (4096⏨) • 3000,0000,0000₆ is 1.3% from 2^50₆ (aka 2^30⏨, or ~1 billion⏨! 3-power correspondence!) • 5,0000,0000₆ is *0.1%* from 2^39₆; this means 14,0000,0000₆ (ten million₆) is the same for 2^40₆

    It also means I can look at 5*6^N for a another set of possibilities. These aren't the roundest numbers (akin to "9,000" in decimal), but it turns out one of them is within 0.1% of a binary power >:(

    Doing some more hacking on to find a good binary/heximal correspondence. I realized if a 1*6^N value is close to a binary power, 2*, 3*, and 4* are all the same closeness to a nearby binary power, which gives me more choices for finding a "round" power.

    Felons in jail should be able to vote. The war on drugs was explicitly begun to disrupt anti-war communities by Nixon. Black teens are thrown in jail for years for a substance legal in the capital and should be given a say in those laws.
