    I've been looking for a simple phrase to define the generally-accepted meaning of "open" in a technology context. Best so far: It's "open" if the work product can be used, improved and shared for any purpose without obstruction or required negotiation.

    Thanks & ( too) for having on to speak about IEEE SA Open. Extremely interesting. Amongst other things, am loving the more refined "drinking one's own wine" phrase. A lot more elegant than "eating your own dog food" :D

    Hey , your ePrint service is all fine and dandy but it can't handle the international Open Document Format (ODF) standard despite ODF being usable in all mainstream office tools. Why is that? You handle DOCX, after all.
