    So, for those at the back: 🔴The court backlog was caused by govt cuts, not Covid 🔴We had a bigger backlog in 2014 and nobody suggested abolishing juries 🔴Any decision to replace juries with judges & magistrates would be in the interests of government, not justice.

    Note to & other broadcasters. Please stop referring to the failed “NHS Track & Trace App”. The NHS has nothing to do with it. This was an un-tendered commercial app, endorsed by & given to SERCO to deliver. SERCO & Hancock failed - not our NHS.

    Something I don’t understand is - OK we have a corrupt and incompetent government - but what happened to the rule of law? Checks and balances? An independent judiciary? Democratic institutions? It takes more than a corrupt executive for things to get this bad.

    Just a reminder that the that's bitten the dust was being developed by a firm called Faculty, which was a VoteLeave AI firm and is run by a mate of . The same firm is hoovering up Whitehall contracts.

    If the NHS will to support it, I could roll out the German Corona-Warn-App (privacy respecting, official diagnosis rather than self-reporting as I understand it) in short time at zero cost to the taxpayers. If the government can't pull themselves together, we can. Please RT.

    Seems and won't need to dig very much to find evidence that Apple is abusive.

    Whoever at Apple wrote this — a few days before WWDC! — should never be allowed to communicate with developers again. Let’s be clear, Apple: in addition to the $100/year developer fees and any search ads we buy, we add value to your highly profitable hardware FAR beyond the 30%.

    It seems impossible, but Silicon Valley's newspaper does not have a tech reporter.

    The San Jose Mercury News once led the whole nation in many aspects of technology reporting. Sad to see that, as of layoffs yesterday, they now have no reporters on the tech beat.
