Another huge crowd tonight in Portland, including a new "wall" on the front lines: a Wall of Vets. Here's a look at the line of military veterans getting set up here in front of the federal courthouse. Behind them, the Wall of Moms and the Wall of Dads are arriving.

💯- workplace safety should not fall on clients or workers. It is the responsibility of employers to ensure they are providing safe workplaces and we need the gov't to enforce the law when it is not being followed.

Today on TV, the Deputy Director of the federal paramilitary force in discussed the infamous van video. He described a textbook example of an unconstitutional arrest. But... he doesn’t seem to know it. That is a BIG PROBLEM. Let’s unpack this. It’s important. (thread)

Don’t choke black men to death. Refrain from shooting unarmed individuals. Don’t kettle peaceful protesters. Don’t stop and frisk millions of innocent people and build mistrust. Create an actual disciplinary system that holds officers accountable.

  13. This is really unfair. Have we forgotten how FDR made states solve the great depression on their own? JFK told each state to launch its own moon rocket? Reagan left each state to demand Gorbachev tear down that wall? Obama just let states provide its citizens healthcare?

Police killed 6 years ago today. Officer Daniel Pantaleo held him in a banned police chokehold. He was never criminally charged, and only fired last year. Almost 1,000 people have reported the NYPD using banned chokeholds on them since Garner's killing.

Eric Garner was murdered six years ago today. It took five years for his killer to be fired- only a semblance of justice for his family. Our collective fight for the dignity and respect of black lives endures.
