I regret not having had the capacity to respond to this survey when it was sent to me. Also, I want an Afrofuturist version of this survey

ethnicity with a hard r comes to haunt again followed by appiah’s desire for cosmopolitanism
And we can find it throughout his career, in his vexed relationship to the conservative logics of Daniel Patrick Moynihan,[155] without even Moynihan's minimal political programmatics,[156] as well as in all his more recent publications, in which Patterson displaces race and racism by prioritizing problems of class and domestic pathology.[157] His own centralization of the essay "Toward a Future That Has No Past" (published alongside Moynihan in Public Interest), details an increasing tendency to "lumpenization," through which emerges a "universal culture of poverty."[158] In this text, salvation is found in the choice Black Americans have to think "Beyond Blackness," staged not as a multidimensional option but as an imperative: for blacks to engage in "de-ethnicating" and act "in concert with natural class-allies—those poor Whites, Mexican-Americans, Puerto Ricans, and downwardly mobile Latins," the "black masses" must "cease to interpret the situation in racial terms

Thing is, I'm not even necessarily against interracial pairings being represented in media. It's just that, when that aspect seems to so frequently be the most "interesting" part of the plot, I have a hard time not feeling like some kinda fuckery is at play.

How can policies be “downstream when society is LITERALLY the “navigation and allocation of resources? If society is the artifact, then policy is the practice…leaving me to ask “how do we interrogate cultural belief around THIS technology??

In Opinion "Policy lies downstream of society," @ezraklein writes. "Mandates are not self-executing; to work, policies need to be followed, guidance needs to be believed. Public health is rooted in the soil of trust. That soil has thinned in America." nyti.ms/3B0ptAD

Quote from author Jessica Sage Rauchberg’s book Review of “Distributed Blackness: African American Cybercultures by André Brock Jr that was published in the Fall 2021 issue of Catalyst (Vol. 7, No. 2): “Noting how anti-Blackness is used as a signifying discourse that powers much of Western technoculture, Brock turns toward Afro-optimism to ask, what if technology embraced Black innovation and creation?

Night is purer than day; it is better for thinking, loving and dreaming. At night everything is more intense, more true. The echo of words that have been spoken during the day takes on a new and deeper meaning. Elie Wiesel, Dawn

Don’t stone me but white classic reeboks > white Air Force ones. AF’s feel clunky and make your feet look big. Reebok’s make your feet look cute and small.
