Hello Thomscher,
Thank you very much for the professional imagery. There's one thing that is very important for the readers to uderstand and that is that, swiping the mascara wand on a saturated tissue paper will rip the tissue paper and shed residue on the mascara wand/spoolie. However, the durable fibres of the PAPER TOWEL, will sustain the swiping of the mascara wand/spoolie on the saturated paper towel.
Remember, a picture says a thousand words.

The additions were very redundant to what was already there and the last image caption was incorrect, stating to multiply by 2, instead of the correct value of 2.23693692. I also found the hand written images in steps 1 and 2 hard to read. While there can be more explanation/elaboration, the key to doing the conversion is in step #1. If you give me a few hours I can break it out more but follow the same look as what I started with.

Hi thomscher! I saw you prepped Knit Decreases for the new images, so I thought I would ask you about it. Some of the images make a lot of sense with the article content, but after about step three they stop making tons of sense. It's nice to have photos here, but it doesn't really make sense for several, because there are multiple steps to each decrease.
I was wondering where the images came from? They look really nice and could help flesh out an article about the individual decreases. Thanks!

Hey, How's it going Thomas, this is the article in question: Make Barbecue Sauce (Tangy and Sweet With a Little Heat) It seems that the photos were incompatible with the recipe, and that if you could, load some with a more rich looking tomato based sauce, like Bulls Eye Barbecue sauce for instance. Perhaps the title photo could display the sauce draped over some chicken, beef, or pork to make it look more appealing to the viewer.
Thanks for you efforts, and I really admire you work, and loved the job you did on my article: Start a Stubborn Weed Trimmer With a Thimble and Some Gas

What I don't get is that you did a great job on the weed trimmer article, then you come along and make my barbecue sauce look like freaking dog food, then you come along and toss out my photos on the article in question. They were done as I was making the recipe, so how could they be inaccurate ? If you want to explain something to me Thomscher, then please do it with more description, or more transparency. Also, I am not going to waste my time killing myself uploading photos, then for someone to come along and take them out. I must be a freaking fool to pay an internet service, and to work for free for someone that's making money, then to come along and humiliate me and destroy my hard work. You tell me what is wiki photo, Jack Herrick, and all wikiHow doing for me ? Treating me this way. For now I am celebrating The Chinese New Year, so I don't want to keep this going all night. I don't even want to argue this anymore. I'm done writing here if it's guna be like this, and I don't care if it's wikiHow, cause I'm Dana Greco, not some schmuck ! Capish ?

How would you like it if someone came along and removed all your photos in one of your articles that you worked so hard on. What ? So you can gain recognition for the work I did ? It's the Golden Rule ? Do onto others as you would want them to do onto you. I know ! It's wiki ! But right is right. And that's not working with others, as you did not even come to me, but just took it upon yourself to chop out my photos, put yours in when its booming at over 800 views. Boy, how convenient for you. Go ahead and ride on my coat tails, cause it ill be the last time, cause now I give wikiHow nothing. Thanks for ruining my experience here, and just when it was getting better. It appears that you may have forgotten to assign a license to the pictures you recently uploaded. I just wanted to verify whether you made these pictures yourself or got them from somewhere else:

If this is a screenshot of computer software, let me know so I can tag the image as Fair Use. If you got it from a search engine, like Google or Bing, or a website you found, please let me know which site - images that are copyrighted can't be used on wikiHow and have to be removed, but you can search for images we already have permission to use by entering search terms in the Search area instead of uploading using the "Browse" button. For more information, see Import Freely Licensed Images Into wikiHow. If you're searching for images on the web, check to make sure they have a "Creative Commons" or "Public Domain" license associated with them (might be found near the picture, or in the site's Terms of Use), rather than "All Rights Reserved". If using Google Images, you can click on "Search Tools", then "Usage Rights", then "Labeled for Reuse".

Hi Thomscher. :) I contacted you before about wikiphoto and some knitting articles, so I just have another question for you. For the article Cast On, the current images for the longtail method are incorrect; they in fact just show a different method that creates the backwards loop cast on. The old images taken from the VideoJug video showed the correct method. And it's great that we have to option to add good step by step images for articles, but I'm not sure why there needed to be new images in this particular article to begin with...? especially when there were freely licensed, good quality images already in place. Do you mind if I revert the longtail method section? Thanks!

Hey there Thomscher!

Thanks again! If there's anything I can help you with now or in the future, don't hesitate to contact me or someone else in the wikiHow forums. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hey Thom,
Thanks for getting back to me so quick. :)
The images for the backwards loop method were correct, but when I reverted it was easiest to go back to the old images. Also, I created those images (gold needle and white thread) personally for the wikiHow knitting articles and they are high resolution and cover all the steps to the method, so I was just confused as to why those had to be replaced as well. It seems counter productive to replace good quality images that a contributor has taken time to create and upload into an article. :/
If you can find better images for the longtail method than the video jug ones that would be great too, but before they just showed another method to do backwards loop.
Good to know about wikiPhoto making mistakes. The knitting category is kind of my pet project, so I am usually going through them to make sure the instructions are correct and such. :)

Well, I guess, you could've explained why you were removing them originally, to keep down such revert/rollback and re-removing again.

Hey Thom,
I just did this revert, http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Use-a-Coffee-Maker&diff=7810105&oldid=7809404 . I'm still skeptical about the boundaries of replacing current images with the bot's. Is there any image criteria that the editors should be aware of or are there still some 'bumps' on the account? I remember Jack announcing something in the forums here, but I was still curious.

Hi... I'm a bit disappointed with the new illustrations in Fix a Running Toilet. I'm not convinced they are more informative than the photos were.
I'd love to have a good illustration of the mechanism for the first step, but otherwise, I think the photos really said more about the reality.
Incidentally, the one about lifting the lid looks to me like the lid somehow hinges upward. It doesn't, not on any toilet I've ever encountered.
I really wish we were doing a better job of evaluating which articles could benefit from an image overhaul. There are lots that really could benefit.

Please accept my apologies. // These illustrations in Chopin's hand substantiate my claims to the essential study of his mss and related material, since they show direct discrepancies when compared with most edited publications.
