    6 SAR tasks in 10 hrs ⛑ Easy access to recreation can often give a false sense of security. Don’t let easy access fool you. Accidents happen, however your preparation can ease severity of an incident, which helps our SAR volunteers.

    CSAR experienced one its busiest days on record yesterday, with 6 tasks in just 10 hours. This has already been one of our most active years to date with 58 tasks as of July 29. We normally receive 70-80 calls annually, so 2020 looks to be an exceptional year.

    Squamish is home for the 〽️😁👍🏿 Side by side (from 6’ apart) we’re working with to help hikers be more in tune with their outdoor safety responsibilities. Recent SAR incidents have resulted in a number of twisted ankles . . . wear proper 🥾!
