In 30-50 years, we are likely to be mostly off fossil fuels, but also experiencing really catastrophic climate impacts. When we get there, there will be people who say "look, we did it, we solved global warming, happy now?" And I'm here to tell you: those people will be the enemy

It seems like a no-brainer to point out the colonialism behind any proposal for "global veganism", "compulsory veganism", and removing people from half of the Earth. You don't even have to read between the lines, just read exactly what is being said. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It is not the job of science fiction writers to provide a step-by-step procedural for how we reach a future state. It is our job to tell a compelling story about what it's like to live there, creating a jumping-off point for readers to think about those steps for themselves.

I agree this is a collective task and there is so much to learn from doing reviews. Yet we should also publish less. We need a new publication culture based on the principle less is more.

the German military keep demanding more respect and support from society for their tough job. Maybe for a start these ceremonies should stop looking like recreated Nazi scenes from Hollywood (nor the original ones)?! Honoring the dead doesn't need marching at night with torches
