    🔍 Zoom in on Bisa Butler's life-sized portrait quilt of members of the 369th Infantry Regiment, known as the Harlem Hellfighters, a segregated unit of the U.S. military in World War I. Butler layers fabric to bring to life a 1919 black and white photo of the group.

    One of those telescopes was the Submillimeter Array, located near the summit of Maunakea in Hawai’i, where its lofty position provides a view virtually unclouded by water vapor. It is a joint project of and Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics.

    This morning, our and collaborators around the globe offer us a clearer glimpse of our universe. To capture this image of the black hole at the heart of the Milky Way, eight telescopes in many locations had to work together to create an Earth-sized telescope.

    This vivid dress from was designed by Carolina Herrera. Raised in Caracas, Venezuela, she was inspired by fashion shows and European travel. She moved to New York City in 1980 and launched her brand, known for its sophistication and elegance, a year later.
