Scoop: In Jan. the CA learned the state of Tennessee declined a yearly federally funded grant from the CDC for HIV prevention services.
Today, we learned the CDC is bypassing the state of Tennessee and routing the $$ to United Way of Nashville. (1/?)

As I note in the story, Justin Jones (and the other two reps, if they're expelled) could technically be reappointed to fill their former seat on an interim basis within days, not to mention run for reelection in the special.

OK, so now in the expulsion hearings , an attorney, is trying to make the point that the video the GOP just showed "was in direct violation" of house rules disallowing members to shoot video on the floor.
"Are we going to punish them as well?"

At one point a few minutes ago, troopers closed the doors to the Capitol on demonstrators, who banged on the doors to come in according to @rachelannwegner . Doors were reopened. One trooper said he didn’t know any they were closed at all.
